Takeaways from Web Design

Technology Skills

In web design I probably learned more tan in every other class I have. I have learned a tremendous amount of HTML code, photoshop skills, and CSS rules. These skills are more useful than I thought they would be. I have used these skills in other classes making power points  blogs, and videos. I wish I had learned a little more photoshop skills, because photoshop is fun to mess around in. I will probable use photoshop over the summer on the free trial and teach myself some cool tricks.

Collaboration

In web design there is not much collaboration used. Projects are usually done by yourself at your own computer.  But there was always people sitting right next to me that may have questions or be able to solve my questions. During the year I was probably a pleasure to sit by, because i am such a good help to some people. My weakness is that I often talk to myself when I am stressed (sorry to the people who sat by me) and might be quite annoying.

Communication

This year I was very good at communication. Every time I had turned a project late in online, I let Mr.Olson know about it.

Project Management

First Semester I finished projects before the deadline almost every time. Second semester I started to get behind on my projects but I stayed after school a day and caught up on them. My weakness is that I get distracted easily but I learned that to keep caught up I had to push the barriers aside and work through it.

Leadership

This guarantee of e-Communication was not used much in this class. But if We were put into groups or something of that nature I fell confident that I would take charge and be a leader. 

Conclusion 

This year in Web design was great. I thought web design was very tedious freshmen year but I wanted to be able to help my Mom with her website... so I signed up for it. A the beginning of the year I learned so much stuff at first I thought this class is not for me. Then I realized I have a photographic memory and I am pretty good at this and stuck with it. By the end of they year I can create professional quality websites on my own which I never though possible. I am a little disappointed that I am not continuing this class next year but I am grateful of what I learned (I just hope I don't forget most of it).
