How to fix sound imperfections
In my last project "23:56" our audio was just horrible. I had to learn sound correction myself. The way I did it is probably not the right way but it works. This technique is great for a mic that make crackles and pops often. To start have you clip inside the timeline in Adobe Premiere. Next right click on the clip and unlink the audio from the video. The zoom in on the audio when it's in the timeline. Now see that white bar? That adjusts the audio levels of the clip. Click on the pen tool and click 4-6 frames ahead of you audio imperfection on the bar then click 1-2 frames ahead. Next click on the white bar 1-2 frames behind the imperfection, the 4-6 frames. You should see four dots on your audio control bar. Next select off the pen tool and select the normal cursor. No click in between the 2 and 3 dot and drag down until a negative infinity sign shows. And you are done. What you had just done is muted the audio in a part and faded it in and out. This will work unless you audio has a lot of background noise. The change in audio will be noticeable.
