Have you ever bookmarked pages because of their information, But open them months later to forget where that info was? The highlighter lets you completely annotate a page or document. The highlights stay on that page forever and those pages can be accessed by clicking the Icon.
The tool is very simple to use. First just highlight the info with your cursor and a selection menu with multiple colors pops up (picture 1). This is where you can arrange you annotations into folders and take notes above the annotations (picture 2). To access your annotation in a new tab just click the icon an a sidebar should come up with your folders (picture 3).
This is one great tool when working on researching for a class. This tool has come in handy for me during finals. I recommend it to anybody doing projects on the computer.
