Final Blog

I have many strengths in e-Communication. I am very good and fast at editing August's projects. I am also good at recommending songs to play. Additionally I am skilled at picking videos to play on the TV to make Mr. Cooper mad. I am good at audio from experience. I have gotten way better at using premiere pro because I practice when I am doing nothing on plane rides. I have learned techniques on how to edit faster. I am good at making questions for a interview. I am also good at setting up the framing for an interview.

I have many weaknesses in e-Comm. I am not very good at finishing feature stories within two weeks of the deadline. I am awful at writing voice overs and recording them. In my frisbee story I pretty much said "come show up 2-4" about seventeen times. I need to learn the basics of After effects because only a few people in my class know it.

To improve on my struggle to meet deadlines I will create a production schedule so I don't get so off schedule. I can improve my voice overs by having someone else proofread them. I will attempt to learn the basics of After effects over the break so I can be a help to the class. With these strategies I will have no chance of failure.

Weelky Blog

The Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey, moved to Cleveland and now is the manager for the Browns. John Dorsey is partially responsible for the Chiefs turnaround from a 2-14 team to a playoff powerhouse.   In the article the Author speculates the idea of John Dorsey picking up Alex Smith in 2018 when he is a free agent. The author did a good job in the article because he asks questions and explores many possibilities in the future.

The author did a very great job in the article and was very educated on the topic. But the author could have explored the possibility of a trade since the chiefs have a great back-up they can afford to trade a quarterback for an offensive lineman.

By reading this article i have learned to keep asking questions. There is really an endless amount of possibilities for any situation. The next time I interview somebody I will come very prepared.

Weekly Blog

ESPN.com has ranked every head coach in the NFL by their amount of job security. The author used a 1-5 scale to describe the amount of security. Every team had a paragraph or two quickly describing the team and their past games. The author also had predictions of what would happen if (team) lost their next (number) of game(s). I also liked how the author put Bill Belicheck of the Patriots as a security of 0 on a 1-5 scale.

The Author needs to explain a little more about how coaches with a 2-11 record are safe at their jobs. A few teams such as the Redskins have not much written about them.

At the visit to FOX 4 I hope to learn about who a professional newsroom is during a broadcast.

Weekly Blog

The author did a great job in the article because he included many sub stories. The author included many different owners reactions to Goodell's decisions. The article included how poor of a job Goodell has been doing and how he needs to be fired. But also included how stressful Goodell's job is and how he has a reason to be asking for more money.

The Article did not do a good job for a few reasons. The author used a lot of secondary sources and infered the subject's thoughts or actions.

I learned from 60 minutes that the proper headroom in interviews is a must. It is so hard to watch shows now after learning technical skills because all I want to do is look out for mistakes.

Weekly Blog

This week I have relearned my editing skills. I relearned L and J edits and how to adjust audio levels. During filming on Sunday I had to find a way to prevent wind noise: by standing behind the shed.

Weekly Blog

Joel Embiid is the latest trash-talking media sensation in the NBA. Embiid isn't all talk though he averages nearly the same numbers as starter's would; and yet Embiid is on limited minutes. Embiid is in the headlines nearly every day. A part about the 7 foot- 3 center that the media doesn't cover is his life back in Cameroon. In Cameroon he is even more adored. He remains humble. Embiid hands out 76ers hats and shirts to children in the streets.

The Author did very well in the article. Unlike other authors who turn to negative headlines; this author exposes Embiid in a different way. The author also did a great job with imagery in the opening paragraphs of the article. I felt like I was in the stadium. The figurative language in the last paragraph is very clever.

The author did not do many things bad. I really enjoyed the article.

This week I have been a leader in class. I arranged the interviews and asked the questions.I started negations for peace with Mr. Cooper over the deadline dispute and succeeded. I am pretty much a president now.

Weekly blog

Last season Colin Kaepernick was protesting oppression and racial injustice. Since then he has lost his starting QB position, and has become a free agent. Kaepernick should not be overlooked because of his actions. Kaepernick led the 49ers to two straight NFC championship games and a Super Bowl. Kaepernick may be just a memory of the past right now as no teams have signed him. But last Sunday Arizona Cardinals' quarterback Carson Palmer broke his left arm. Palmer was 3rd in the league in passing yards. Surely no free agent or backup quarterback can replace his role in the Cardinals' offense. Many NFL owners are scared about hiring a controversial figure like Kaepernick.

The Author did a great job by making bold predictions. The Author provided statistics and facts which help get his point across. The Author also included two sides of the argument: why the owners should hire him, and why they shouldn't.

The Author did a great job in the article. It is very hard to find where the author could improve on. But the only thing I found was that his best points of the whole article were in the very last lines. Also the very small section about why owners shouldn't pick him up is at the very end. Readers that get bored never see all the main points. See the article here.

This week I did not do much. But Friday morning I am filming. And the weekends I Am filming.
